Donabate is known for its world-class golf courses and has become a little slice of golf heaven for local and international enthusiasts alike.
Golfers are welcomed by locals who are keen to share the beauty of their links and the charm of their seaside village.
Here are the five courses that make Donabate the golfer’s paradise that it is.
1. The Island Golf Club
The Island Golf Club is one of Ireland’s premier links courses. Last June, some of golf’s most exciting young talent descended on The Island Golf Club in Donabate in their attempt to qualify for the British Open Championship.
2. Donabate Golf Club
Donabate has 27-holes and is a mature parkland course with tree-lined fairways and is heavily bunkered, creating many interesting and challenging golf holes. After a round of gold you can enjoy a nice lunch in the state-of-the-art clubhouse.
@donabategolfclub is a 27 hole parkland course in North County Dublin just 12 minutes from Dublin Airport, that offers varying challenges on each nine created by a combination of water hazards, undulating greens and mature trees. All of the greens are sand based which makes them playable all year round 🇨🇮🏌⛳️ #fingalgolf #dublingolf #golf
3. Balcarrick Golf Club

4. Corballis Golf Club
Situated on the same stretch of land as the Island and boasting the same superb qualities as the world famous links course.
5. Beaverstown Golf Club
This 140-acre course is built to USGA standard, with the sand-based greens allowing play all year round. The course is particularly beautiful in May during apple blossom time.
